Me too I have had excellent care over the last year with a few problems. I felt totally safe, listened to and care for.

We too have had cause to be thankful for wonderful treatment from the NHS this year.

Yes - I too have found NHS staff kind, thorough and thoughtful.

There have been exceptions - but thankfully in the minority.

I think that the goodwill present among the staff is a miracle in the presence of the pressures under which they work. One of the big challenges faced is communication - in such a large organisation wires do get crossed at times.

I am glad that you have had such good treatment today.

I second that!

I agree with you. Yesterday I went to a respiratory consultant for the second time. I have had a CT scan and other tests and feel extremely well looked after. All the nurses were friendly and the consultant gave me time and discussed my condition with me.

Today I took DH to GP who said he was quite poorly and needed checking in our local A&E. GP phoned hospital, arranged for us to be seen and off we went. In the space of 31/2 hours DH was assessed, had blood test, chest x ray, heart monitor, urine test, ECG, saw 2 Doctors, received intravenous antibiotic and was discharged home with medication and advice. Every member of staff (all nationalities including Welsh!) were kind, smiley, helpful and thorough. Everyone introduced themselves by name, told us what they were going to do and why and explained everything. This is the same sort of treatment that we (DH and I) have been receiving for years. We think they are wonderful.
