Yes I have suffered the dreaded seal barking cough
Sitting up all night as lying down makes it worse. Awfulsad
I agree jane Its terrible to listen to.
Although the worst for me was when my baby daughter had whooping cough.
Iam64 when the bugs and colds are about, I'm also a dettol wiper.
Door and Fridge handles and bleach in loos etc.
And as in another thread windows open to get the germs out.
I also keep saying please cough in to a tissue or the crook of arm not to hands.
Otherwise the germs are spread evenly on remote controls, books, door handles and kettle etc etcshock

Oh dear. That sounds awful. I'm a keen antibacterial wipe user. So far so good but I still want to hit him every time he coughs! Its sooooo loud. I don't know how he does it.
Hope you feel much better soon Iam64.

All I can say Jane - is don't be near him! I caught the cold from my husband two weeks ago. It's now morphing into some kind of awful sinus blockage. I'm about to go to bed with some lemsip and a murder mystery to cheer me up. I just wish I'd insisted on him keeping a huge distance from me and I'd been even more Mrs. MacBeth than usual and gone round with the dettol wipes cleaning anything he'd touched. Apologies for being so unpleasant.

Argh! DH has one of his special colds. He sounds like a seal barking into a megaphone. It's driving me nuts. Me and the cat jump every time he coughs.
I know I should be sympathetic but I just don't want to be near him. Feeling ashamed (but irritated!)
