Colds I hate them

overthehill, I've had a stinking cold for 3 weeks today. Two days ago I saw the GP who prescribed antibiotics for a secondary infection, sinus type. I'm now feeling much more the thing and hope you don't go on to develop the dreaded secondary infection. Vitamin C and Zinc - my mantra but I'd run out......

I know colds are 'minor illnesses' but they can't half make you feel ill! I prescribe a hot rum or whiskey toddy to anyone currently suffering.

Yup. I caught DH's disgusting cold. Sore head, horrible catarrhy feeling, no appetite (that's actually OK) and just feel limp and useless. The joys.
Must remember to get flu jab.

Get well soon. Just recovering myself from the most dreadful chest infection which has really worn me down. That feeling you have of being trapped inside a body, when you want to be busy and get things done, is so frustrating. Hopefully the end is in sight and I'm preparing to greet the outside world again soon, as the grandchildren are staying over tomorrow. Wishing "overthehill" a good night's sleep tonight.

Get better soon - colds can be a real misery.

I always get several months of coughing afterwards and dread being in contact with people with colds (usually the GC!) as I know what is in store for me.
