Our GP said water only, no juice or milk. The bugs that are around at the moment seem very difficult to shake off. Has she spoken to a doctor at all? If not she probably should.

I also had the other symptoms (plus wind! blush) it came on quite suddenly after a cheese and onion pasty, which I convinced myself was 'off'.

I wouldn't leave it too long before thinking about a doctors appt. Not for any sinister reasons, but my gp explained to me (when I was being silly about having a camera 'down') that its one of those internal things that can't be guessed at. My feeling of being full of acid and being sick was a hiatus hernia.

Since Sunday my DD (currently back home) has been laid up with what seems like gastric flu: aches/pains, nausea, diaorrhea, sleeplessness, feels clammy. She doesn't seem to be getting any better and just called me cos she's finding it hard to keep going when she feels so unwell. If she takes a painkiller she feels more sick, She says her stomach feels like a bag full of acid. She just can't find a position where she feels comfortable, and so can't fall asleep. I encouraged her to drink a little juice and eat a small amount of plain bread so there is something in her stomach, buut I really don't know what to recommend. Does anyone have any experience of this, or recommendations? Any help much appreciated!
