There are reciprocal arrangements with Spain. I know someone who does this twice a year so hopefully the same n the UK.

Oh - I have just realised you now say “ex” Serkeen - sorry to hear that.
Is there not a Kidney Patients’ Support group who could offer guidance?

Has he spoken to his unit or named nurse they might be able to advise him.
There are also companies who specialise in dialysis patient holidays.

My mum was a dialysis patient for many years. She enjoyed holidays in various places who had reciprocal agreements with the Newcastle Dialyis unit. There are many of these around the country. We are in the North East Serkeen and she loved to visit Seahouses on the Northumberland coast (dialysis in Alnwick) and various locations within the Lake District too (where there is a unit) . Your ex should ask at his local dialysis unit or get in contact with his branch of the kidney patients association who will no doubt have contacts.

My x husband who is on dialysis is trying to book himself a UK break and is finding it overwhelming to find somewhere that he can stay, that would be near a hospital, that he can get supplies from for his dialysis and a guesthouse that would take him.

Has anyone out there had any experience of this kind, any information will be great. smile
