“ Miracle” cure for psoriasis?

Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone - "Volatile fragrance and flavoring ingredient that must be listed on products that contain it due to its risk of causing a sensitized reaction at concentations as low as 0.001%. It’s an ingredient to avoid if you have sensitive skin, especially because it’s almost always combined with other volatile fragrance components such as linalool and eugenol."

I hope this formats better. Sorry it is so long, but the stuff contains a LOT of ingredients.

Ingredients and their descriptions from the website (in italics) and from descriptions elsewhere on the net (not italics). So it contains lots of diferent moisturisers, some things to help the absorption of the moisturisers and several fragrances (*in bold*). These add nothing and can be allergens - I would think these were bad for psoriasis, not likely to help magically cure it.

Note that nowhere in the site descriptions is there any hint that any of the ingredients could be allergenic - and the last on the list, the one that is not for sensitive skins, doesn't even have a description. I don't have psoriasis, or know much about it, but I believe it needs careful and soothing treatment?

That's one very long list of ingredients Elegran, thank you. I'd read the 'miracle' cure articles with scepticism. Psoriasis can flare and clear overnight in my experience. I saw a dermatologist one day, completely clear of it but within 24 hours I once more had skin that was flaking and splitting, very painful and inflamed. It's possible that someone is in remission and attributing this to the cream. It's also possible of course, that the cream works for that individual.
I'm prescribed emollients, ointments and serious medication to keep mine under control. I use steroid creams occasionally as directed by the dermatologist.

Mild psoriasis is helped by using Wrights Coal Tar Soap, but
There seems to be no one thing that helps with anything more serious.Avoid anything with perfume in though.

I would be completely put off by all huge list of ingredients, The more complicated the chemical names the more I would distrust the product.
To start with perfume is the last thing I would want to put on delicate skin.

I've had bad eczema on my face and neck for the first time ever this winter. Its been on and off all through November to the end of January with steroid cream helping but returning as soon as the allotted week's treatment is completed. I have not been sure what was causing it as I hadn't changed my skincare or makeup routine at all.

Anyway I saw this Child's Farm Baby moisturiser advertised, thought it was worth a try and my face started to clear for the first day I used it and it has stayed clear for 6 weeks now. Co-incidence? Maybe, but I'm sticking with it for now.

It certainly has several different moisturising ingredients, Lyndylou, which should help your eczema. If it were me, those added fragrances would make me watch carefully for any signs of irritation, but as you have none, it seems to suit your skin.

On the other hand with such a long list of ingredients then perhaps there is something in there that’s actually helping?

Most of the active ingredients are general moisturisers, Oldmeg. Maybe the linalool, with its "dose-dependent marked sedative effects at the Central Nervous System" is de-stressing the nervous system and having an indirect effect on the psoriasis? Or those volatile fragrances and flavouring ingredients are doing something clever?

Wasn't bathing in the Dead Sea supposed to cure psoriasis?
