Noted Squiffy. Thank you for sharing. God bless!

Just for future reference, if you tap Herbert Protocol into Google (other search engines are available!!), websites pop up for various counties/areas, which have the info and forms to download.

This looks so useful that I decided to save the file and fill it in with my own details, to keep with the Life Book that contains other stuff for my family should "anything happen to me".
I discovered that I have a copy saved already. I don't remember downloading that and saving it - maybe it will come in useful sooner than I thought!

kittylester Fri 25-May-18 21:26:05

How did you hear about it, Squiffy?

kittylester Fri 25-May-18 21:21:31

It is widely promoted by the Alzheimer's Society (and I think Dementia UK) I think the Support Workers suggest people use then.

Squiffy Fri 25-May-18 21:04:36

That’s good to hear Kitty, but it doesn’t seem to be widely publicised, does it?

kittylester Fri 25-May-18 19:37:48

I help run courses for family carers of people living with dementia and we recommend this!

silverlining48 Fri 25-May-18 19:13:48

Seems a sensible idea to have this information prepared, just in case, and am sure it would be helpful.

Squiffy Fri 25-May-18 17:46:40

I thought this link may be useful to anyone caring for a dementia sufferer. It's such a simple idea for aiding those searching for an 'escapee'.

Although this states Met police, it is a national scheme.
