Over the last week, 7 year old DGD has been complaining of a cold leg despite the oppressive heat. This seems more frequent at night. Does anyone have any ideas as to what the cause is?

Does it feel cold to the touch or is it a sensation thing. Could be a couple of things - if it feels cold and is a bluey colour then its off to the GP. If its a sensation thing it could be a nerve - has it damaged it in football or something like that? If it looks normal it probably is- compare it to the other leg to help you decide.

Call 111 and they will tell you whether you should worry or not. I probably would.

I would get her parents to phone for a telephone appointment with her gp.

Not cold to the touch. Looks normal . She has been doing lots of activitiess, gym etc.
Shall suggest mum phones 111 when she is back from work.

I have really cold feet even in this heat I need a pair of socks on at night I went to the doctors as I thought my circulation must be cxxx but no I was told the circulation in my legs and feet is excellent
I do remember when I was little my mum taking me to the docs because I complained of cold feet in the hot summer but again she was told I was fine

I have Reynaud's Syndrome in my hands. two of my fingers suddenly went numb and cold a day or two ago. I think I had picked up something cold from the fridge briefly and that had set it off. It takes very little to get a reaction.
