I was going to give the advice about bread, but see that it has been mentioned above. Not chewing it too much and swallowing while lumpy, usually sorts out DH. We used to say, " if there is a bone in it, FIL would find it" .
Good luck and hope you get sorted soon.

Go and see a medic who has access to long tweezers! I couldn't stand having that.

Good advice from kittylester about eating dry bread. Just found this on line , hope it helps JackyB if all else fails it might be worth a trip to the GPnor even A&E as you don’t want it to work itself further in . Good luck.

First, never use utensils to dislodge a bone - that can make matters worse. Eat small pieces of dry bread, but don't chew it a lot - that increases the chances that the bone will dislodge when you swallow. Drink plenty of water to flush out your throat. Eating rice, potato or banana can also help remove a fish bone

Try eating bread. It must be very irritating and a little scary!

Whilst eating some fish last night, I noticed a small bone had got caught in my throat. I felt it when I swallowed, but not every time.

It's still there this morning. It seems that it is well and truly stuck into the side, but right at the back, but not in a position where it is going to cause me to choke. (Near where my tonsils would be if I still had them) I think I even saw it when shining a torch down my throat.

But no way can I get it out - I retch like mad when I am only halfway there.

Will it eventually dissolve and go away or will it work its way out from the flesh it's lodged into or will I have to spend the rest of my life with this thing in my throat? After only 16 hours it's already driving me mad.
