I’ve always had troublesome feet, have worn orthotics for years, but recently they’ve got much worse and I find myself not wanting to go on outings, shopping expeditions etc. I’ve now been told that I have arthritis in my feet. Does anybody else have experience of this? Is there anything, apart from regular pain killers, that I can do to improve things? Any advice will be gratefully received.

Yes I have.
My doctor offered a cortisone injection into a joint in my left foot arch. Which helped a lot.
Ask your doctor, it's up to him/her. You might have to have an xray first.

Well my arthritis got so bad several bones in my foot collapsed and I had to have a big operation to rebuild my foot this year. Some of this was my fault for not going to get it looked at sooner when a smaller operation would have solved the problem.
