Maw grin wish it was that easy!
Must say that the customer service, albeit just communication so far, given by Lifeline24 has been superb!
Anyone had experience of lifeline24?

I have misread this three times as pedant alarm
(Might not be such a bad idea.....)

Thanks midgey - that had occurred to us but unlike most of the youngsters today, we switch off our mobiles when we are not 'mobile' and overnight! We are on 24hr call/contact so we don't really want an 'extra' phone either but please don't feel we are ungrateful for your suggestion though!
I have come across Lifeline24 which we are looking into as it seems to offer exactly what we need?

How about a designated mobile phone? One that only allows text and phone, you might find a very cheap second hand one.

We are 'first call' should our elderly neighbour need to press her pendant alarm in an emergency and, up until now, all has been well.
The previous company are now changing provider and we have been told no action is needed, everything will be transferred automatically.
However, we have a call interceptor on our landline phone. This wasn't a problem with the 'old provider' as they gave me the number that any emergency call would come from. We then cleared that number on our interceptor so calls got straight through.
I have contacted the new provider and been told they can't give me the number as it would depend upon who picks it up!
Obviously that is no good as in that emergency situation valuable time would be wasted!
Does any one have experience of a good (or bad hmm) provider of pendant alarms?
We are now shopping around for an alternative company who can give us the number from which they will call us!
Many thanks all!!!
