This is an awesome graphic presentation on what to look for when doing your own breast self-examination.
If it helps one person go to the Doctor, it's a good thing!
(speaking as one who had Breast Cancer Surgery and Radiation this year).

I first saw this after my dd was diagnosed with bc.
She had seen it too late and hadn’t realised it’s more than lumps to check for. Unfortunately she has needed long ongoing and very aggressive treatment which nearly 2 years later she still struggles with.
Yes KNOW YOUR LEMONS. Wish my dd had known then what she knows now.

NannaM that you so much for posting the link.
I have bookmarked.
Like you silverlining I wish this had been around years ago.
My mum lost her battle with breast cancer at 54.
I am grateful for information that makes women and men aware of their bodies.
Visual information is very helpful.

Thank you NannaM. This information will be so helpful for lots of women.
I discovered, what I thought at first was a shadow, right beneath my left breast. I had another look and realised it was a dent. I went to the Dr. and was fast tracked to the hospital. I had a diagnosis of cancer, and had a lumpectomy in August. I had my first radiotherapy treatment this morning. I didn’t have a lump and didn’t know the other types of symptoms to look for.

Antieflo, I Hope your radiotherapy sessions go well, I finished 15 sessions in February. Drink loads of water to keep well hydrated, it really helps, also, moisturise really well (3 times a day) (except in the hours prior), I also found a silk hanky was comfortable against my skin and clothes, pm me anytime if you want to chat, best wishes x (I bet you knew all this anyway, so apologies if I appear to b teaching you to suck eggs)

Kateykrunch thank you for that. I am also due for 15 sessions, so still a way to go. One of the nurses did mention that drinking lots of water will help, I am trying. I have bought E45 lotion, and am using that twice a day, but will up it to three. The silk hanky sounds a good idea. I haven’t got one, but wonder whether a well washed spectacle cleanser, ( the ones you get in a new pair of specs) thingy, would work, as I think they are synthetic, but worth a try.
Am off soon for second appointment

Auntieflo, I hope you are doing well with your sessions and feeling good, all the best, keep drinking the water and slapping on the creams. X
