Can anyone tell me what tests are there for a diagnosis. I have occasional lip trembling!

My OH died with ( not of ) Parkinsons Disease in May this year , go to the GP . Never noticed lip trembling except when he was trying not to laugh at me

aggie, I'm sorry to hear that; it sounds as if you have some lovely memories though flowers

Bigred could you be cold - have you tried wearing
A Onesie?

aggie Thu 06-Dec-18 17:50:30

Jalima I had thought of a Onesie too wink

There are a whole raft of symptoms of PD, and several variants, so a simple answer is not available - and certainly no simple tests. ParkinsonsUK.org has lots of info. It is diagnosed from a slow accumulation of symptoms.

Look up lip twitching - there are loads of links.

Thanks! Too hot for a onesie in Oz. Hve checked everything on line, it could be anything, but definite mouth and chin trembles. Seeing gp next week.

Funny, I was going to suggest a Onesie too smile

Good plan. Hope it goes well.

My OH has PD and this is not one of his symptoms - lots of other really weird things! - but not that.

It could be essential tremor. www.nhs.uk/conditions/Tremor-%28essential%29/Pages/Introduction.aspx

Sorry, link doesn't work.

Best to rely on a GP for diagnosis. He knows more about these matters than we do.

Thanks for your responses! My gp doesn't think I have PD but we are watching my symptons. Blood tests all good and if mouth trembles don't get better then I will see a neurologist. GP says could be essential tremor.
