Lower or higher due to wax I wonder?

The body temperature should be the same all over your body ( 37.5 ) give or take the odd degree higher or lower.
However, if there is wax there it will give a wrong reading so don't panic.

Sorry to hear you’ve been ill, Lucky, hope you’re better soon. Can’t help with your question, I’m afraid. It does sound odd. thanks

Not at all. I have just had 10 days of feeling grim and thought I would take it and see. I do not normally take it unless there is a purpose. In his case to take some paracetamol to bring it down and feel better.

I was just interested in why it can be so different between ears. Seems crazy!

I never take my temperature, though I suppose I would if I had a raging fever. Is it a thing now?

We have an ear thermometer and consistently the temp is higher in my left than my right ear. E.g. this morning it is 38.2 in the left and 37.2 in the right. The right is consistently a degree less.

Could this be wax I wonder? Anyone else noticed this?
