My son, his partner and one of their children have had a dreadful nausea bug.

There has been a nausea bug thing going around here.
Lots of children off with school with it, and my grandson spent the first part of half term being sick.

I've had it intermittently for a long time and spoke to my practice nurse a couple of weeks ago , who seemed to put it down to anxiety-related ( with me anyway ) more than anything and told me to take deep breaths.
Everything else was alright and the tablets I take I've been taking for years so it wasn't them.
Up to now it seems to be fading, touch wood, but it kept me indoors for ages.

I've had a nausea type feeling for about a month, along with mild diarrhea. I am seeing my GP in the week, although I feel a bit better now. To cap it all, I've had a nosebleed this morning. I had a spate of these last year and I thought they'd gone away. They really scare me.

I had this about three weeks ago. I think I was only sick once but felt as if I had gone ten rounds with Mike Tyson, spent a lot of time dozing on the sofa. It lasted a full week.

DD returned to work Friday.

DD works in a nursing home, it swept through like wild fire last weekend. She thought she had escaped it but it kicked off in the middle of the night Monday. The vomiting wasn't the worst part apparently. It was the muscle aches and moving from one room to another being completely exhausting.

I have felt mild nausea for the last week and can only eat bland food. There is a tread on Mumsnet up to the beginning of this year about a nausea virus.
Has anyone on Gransnet had it and what help and how long does it last.
