... especially on my legs...I caught my leg today in the garden, only slightly and it tore in a V shape and bled a lot...then my neighbour said " oh be careful you don't develop ulcers!" Heck I hope not!!!
Is it reversible...is anything that will thicken my skin again?

I've been taking Collagen and Hyalauronic acid capsules ,I'm taking them for my nails but they are supposed to work for skin and hair too.Might be worth a ,I've not been taking them long enough to see any results yet but I live in hope as my nails are breaking and splitting lengthwise and and catching on everything I touch and its very uncomfortable

might be worth a try.....I get them from Amazon but Holland and Barrett will probably have them

I have the same kind of skin.
Hyaluronic acid - my doctor prescribed the cream to help heal a leg wound.
And husband had a H.A. injection in his knew to promote cartilage regrowth.
I've heard it's the basis for expensive facial creams.

I had this on the back on one calf. It would tear if someone looked at it and then would weep for days. I bought a tube of manuka honey, squished it on , wrapped in a crepe banadage and it healed it so quickly.

It’s a bit messy but works a treat!

I've just realised that improvement in skin condition is one of the benefits of HRT. A drastic remedy perhaps, but thinning, dry skin on my shins was not the reason that I was offered it!
