strained groin tendons

Thanks B9exchange. but it's got worse now. I think it's connected to the hernia in my right groin. I'm on a waiting list for repair.
I looked at supports, they're like elastic knickers hmm

Alternate ice and heat packs perhaps? Calendula/Arnica ointment to help the bruising?

Yet another old age problem, the result of a fall on the main road pavement last week.
I landed on my right bottom. I have a replacement hip there. The bruising isn't too bad, but I think the supporting tendons have been damaged and are still sore.
I rang the doctor and she said all you can do is use Ibuprofen gel.
Any other ideas?
