Doodle yes a simple word, I have lived alone for 25 years so use to ‘i’ , x

nonnie many hand over to the Lord and then take it back, I have. I have been troubled, hand it over but in a very short
time start being troubled about the same thing so really taken it back.

One big thing which is stressful? If it’s one or several things
it’s stressful x

Doodle I really admire people who can simply hand it all over to the Lord, I try and fail miserably!

annie DS, who knows about these things, says that muscle wastage starts after a week! We are all doomed Sorry about the flippancy, I can only imagine how that must feel.

I don't mind the heat so count myself lucky but it does effect my low blood pressure and I have to be careful not to fall down.

Why, when I have so much good in my life, do I feel so tired and down so much? Most of you seem to have more to cope with than me, I just have one big thing which is really stressful, so why can't I come out of this?

Something lovely today. I was missing my darling elder daughter, felt so alone. Messaged my younger granddaughter
to tell her the house plants need dividing, think there will be ten more !

She replied ‘ 10, where are we going to put 10 ? It was ‘we’ which made me so happy. I wasn’t really alone .

I am really thinking of you as l read your earlier posts. Not an easy situation and you are so brave and l do understand. You are not alone as we are here for you virtually and in thoughts. Sending as many positive thoughts to you that l possibly can.

I always try and have some little thing to look forward to and concentrate on that. But no it is not easy for you even with saying all the above. But somehow we get there.

I’ve had a strange weekend. I have been very concerned about my DGS for a while and my anxieties have been getting the better of me. I have been trying with mindfulness to cope and also with prayers to lay all my troubles with God and trust in him. Unfortunately, I am weak and as the weekend approached my worries got worse and hard as I tried I couldn’t keep them away. I have concentrated on trying to keep occupied but it has been difficult. 2 strange things have happened. Firstly one son found out something by accident which he told me on Friday which lifted my spirits. Today I have been worried again and out of the blue my other son texted some good news to lift me again. I can’t help but think that God heard my desperation and helped.
You were all in my prayers today as always. Who knows what can happen. Sleep well all x

Doodle thank you. sure he will get better soon, just a bit painful when you first do something like that, is throbbing a bit today but he had to go back to get a different dressing on this morning. They put something on it, that was only to be on for 24 hours to stop the bleeding.. he had his had crushed a few year since so his skin is very thin on that hand which of course do not help with the pain or bleeding, it has stop now so pleased about that..

joce sorry to hear about your DH. Hope it’s not too bad.
annie sorry I didn’t think about your knee when I posted about going out in the garden. Hope the physio gets sorted soon.

Hi Annie Doodle, it is very hot too hot to iron Doodle. Aww Annie is horrible that you are in so much pain and unfair you have to put up with it.. I have been at hospital with my husband he’s cut a nice chunk out of his finger, he only has 3 fingers on that hand and had to cut it so now he’s redundant till it get better.

No hand rail yet Doodle, couldn’t walk out anyway, knee is badly twisted so waiting to see consultant.

Hope I will accepted by the physiotherapy dept , want advice on the muscle wastage

Younger granddaughter coming tomorrow hopefully, she has gone away for the weekend so depends if she comes home today or as the weather is so nice tomorrow

For a while I have been having a sleep in the afternoon, not a good habit x

You’re right about the ironing annie but I had left it so long it was beginning to take over ?. Still at least it’s done now?
When are you next expecting a visit from your DGD?
Did you ever get your hand rail fitted along the side of your house? It should be a really warm evening tonight. Could you venture into the garden a bit do you think?

I don’t believe everyone is having a great bank holiday, I was thinking of my family which is now just my younger daughter in Lincolnshire and my three grandchildren, I do miss my elder daughter so much , until her illness she really was my very own sunshine.

I think it’s an illusion annie. We always think others are off having a high old time when in fact many are at home just sitting or reading. In my apartment block today I think apart from the young girl with a baby, the rest of us are all in our own places keeping out of the sun. I realise it is not the same when you are on your own and missing your family.
Have a chat to me annie. What are you doing? Obviously I am on GN at the moment. Just finished a mammoth pile of ironing and had a bite of lunch. I have downloaded a new book called the Cuckoo’s calling which I am going to try and get into. I am doing my best to keep my mind occupied.

I feel so lost . Always surrounded by a large extended family, no one here now. No one been in my home for nearly 3 weeks.

My brothers younger son married last Friday, it was upsetting thinking about many family members being there , my sisters, nieces and nephews.

Bank holidays are difficult, seems everyone is doing something or going somewhere.

hello my friends. GD here this week i love her so much. people turned up this morning to view house that we knew nothing about ! house upside down all still in PJS but hey ho let them in anyway. hope you are all well in the excessive heat xxx

Again, another horrible bank holiday. The black dog is visiting, it's to hot to work or sit in the garden, and anyway I think I saw a hornet. Can't go out, everywhere is crowded.
It's better to be alone, alone, than to be alone in a crowd.

I hate this hot weather. It's good for getting all the washing dry quickly, though.

I don't much care for bank holidays - my husband doesn't want to do anything or go anywhere - we've got 2 cars, yet he's happy to sit at home, reading the newspaper or watching tv. He can go all day without talking. I'm the opposite, the solitude drives me mad. The GC are with their mother this weekend, so it's just the 2 of us (sons are both doing their own things), doing solitary things....and he wonders why I keep buying "stuff"
