Epsom salt (magnesium sulphate) paste can be used for drawing out splinters etc. Works like magic!

not it and

Thanks Squiffy, I definitely could have used it a few weeks ago, when I had a rose thorn break of in my knuckle!

I saw a TV program which was discussing how good the Dead sea was for eczema and skin problems.
It's supposed to be high in magnesium, and I wanted to know if anyone had experience of taking it and why!

I think you bathe in them, not take them?

You can buy magnesium tablets, usually with calcium and vit D to take as a supplement.
Magnesium is a muscle relaxant

I love an Epsom Salts bath.
Good for all your ills, I think.

I was given Epsom salts to dry up my milk after a miscarriage in the early 70's,it had a laxative effect.

The trainer who runs my exercise class always tells us to have an Epsom Salt bath to ease stiffness/sore muscles. It works! It does contain magnesium.

Soak feet in water with Epsom salts in. Good for RA.
