Frozen bed fellow

Well! After being advised to use a cotton wrapped ice pack on a viral rash to cool it I’m now taking this ice pack to bed every night to cool my night sweats. I’m placing under my left arm ( near my heart) and I’m falling into a lovely sleep with no perspiration!!

Makes a change from a winter hot water bottle. ?

Oops!! Forgot to say my night sweats are due to the menopause. ?

I used to do the same thing. Put a large frozen pack into plastic bag and then wrapped in a tea towel.
You could also use a hot water bottle, fill with cold water and freeze it.

I had a "chillow" . It was lovely and cool. Thankfully, I don't need it now.

I had a 'chillow' too and agree it was cooling but I didn't like the smell of it!

I have the timed oscillating fan blowing on me in bed. I fall asleep being caressed by the breeze and the whirring ‘womb’ music. But then I wake at 4am in. a kind of swimming pool. ?

I was a bit worried when I saw the heading - so glad to discover it was just a chillow and not a chilled fellow.

Me too - I thought somebody's DH had cold feet, which can lead to unpleasant surprises when they land on your nice warm legs!

I am still using cooling gel mats in the bed 23 years after the menopause!

shysal - I have just started something called Menopace Night - has been effective so far. But still wake up at about 4 a.m.
