In March I had a hiatus hernia opp since then I have only been able to eat liquid food ie clear soup ice cream yogurt I've been back and forth to the hospital at least 10 times the hospital is an hour away as our local hospital arnt doing many opps as there run of there feet so I was offered a private hospital who took nhs patients I've got some sort of blockade so food won't go down I've lost over 4 stone so had too buy a new wardrobe of cloths I have been of work for about 15 years with depression any way so money is tight still got a mortgage but just about keeping my head above water but getting very frustrated that I can't eat told to day they will have to operate again a friend of mine says I should use I would not know how to go about this or if I had any chance any advise please

Sadly I think you are going to have to go through the second operation and see if that puts things right. Have you been given a date for the op? What do they do when you visit the private clinic?

I think private hospitals sometimes take nhs patients at no cost, if they've the beds available.
If that is what's being offered, then go for it.

Yes. I would think that is what is happening here. Just wondering why the ten visits, and if the poster has been given a date for the op.

If you’re offered an operation at a private hospital it’ll probably be the same surgeon doing the operation as would do it in an NHS hospital. In effect the NHS are just renting the theatre and the bed. Go for it.

Is your friend suggesting you make a complaint ? Sorry, I think predictive text plays a part at the end of your post.
If so, the first thing to do would be to contact P.A.L.S. at the hospital.
