Depression and it’s affects.

Hello, I’m new to all of this, but thought there may be someone who can answer my question. I’ve had short bouts of depression, but nothing major. However, I’d like to know if anyone has heard of people suffering from depression, changing their minds about feelings for another person, when they start to come out of the “fog”, after treatment with medication. To be clear, I’m talking about how they feel once “better”, not whilst they are in the depression. Thank you.

When I had 2 bouts of depression during menopause, I was totally unable to appreciate how much support I was getting.

Very reluctantly, after trying and failing to beat it myself, I accepted medical help and 3 months later was beginning to feel my old self again.
Only then did I really feel and understand how much I owed to my family.

During depression, all feelings are deadened.

I suspect you may mean something totally different, such as 'falling out of love' with someone once the feeling of dependency has gone? I've certainly heard of that but have not experienced it.

All my after-D emotions were positive.

BradfordLass yes, someone I know has “realised “ they don’t love someone else, now the depression has gone.
