annie hope it’s not presumptuous of me to start the thread but I appear to have closed the last one and didn’t want to leave anyone with no where to go.
Welcome all x

rafichagran Sat 08-Feb-20 22:29:41

Thanks Annie yes I have the same problems as you, had a ulcer and have diverticulitus. Sorry you and David are down at the moment. Not the score you hoped for.
Jose Sorry you are feeling low, but glad the walk perked you up. You really have something to look forward too.
I agree Flutterby some nice sunny weather would be great but warm sunny weather.
Salsaqueen I will ask for different meds and maybe physiotherapy, if not maybe acupuncture privately.
Doodle I hope you are ok as well.
This is a lovely thread, and people are kind and can be themselves.

Annie, my friend had her fingers done and toes, hers were really badly twisted with arthritis, I don’t mean for one minute to compare you because I don’t really know, but she is really good now.. thinking you must have different problems.. that’s is a shame I love cross-stitching but struggle with my eyes now, even with the magnifier.. I feel so much for you Annie it’s bad enough with your agoraphobia, but not to be able to occupy your mind with your hobbies. I am so grateful I can still do some of mine..

Lizzy53 Sun 09-Feb-20 10:57:55

Glad you’ve started another link/thread.
It’s a struggle at times and nice to know there is support out there ?

Anniebach Sun 09-Feb-20 12:24:12

Hi all x

Lizzy53 always some one here every day , sharing, supporting and understanding x

Anniebach Sun 09-Feb-20 12:28:46

Joce I was told nothing could be done for hands, I am left
handed, 3 fingers bent into palm of hand, only have use of
forefinger and thumb, right hand I have use of forefinger and thumb , other fingers not bent into palm , just badly twisted.

I am going to ask about this, thank you. X

Joce345 Sun 09-Feb-20 13:02:22

Please do Annie her we’re very bad bent every witch way.. she does all her own cleaning again now which is good because she has OCD... Lizzy some very good listeners on hear.. very caring lot...

Doodle Sun 09-Feb-20 22:03:02

Well that is strange. I came back onto this thread tonight fully expecting to see my earlier post here and it isn’t. Don’t know what happened.
Anyway I will say it again. annie I looked up on the internet and joce is right. They do replace joints in fingers. The second joint and the knuckle joint. It is certainly worth asking about.
We have been over to have some birthday cake with DGD. Torrential rain delayed our start but it lessened after a while. Still huge puddles on the roads though.
Hope everyone is ok.
lizzy nice of you to pop in. There is usually someone around every day.
Sleep well all x

Dawn22 Sun 09-Feb-20 22:42:05

Sleep well tonight Doodle, Joce, Lizzie and Annie and everyone else. Thinking of you all.

Joce345 Sun 09-Feb-20 22:45:44

Dawn hope you sleep well, the sheet music doesn’t seem to be working very well think it could be a bit thick, but not give in yet Dawn
Hope every one has a peaceful night sleep ? night all

Dawn22 Mon 10-Feb-20 15:21:09

I think you are right not to give in yet Joce. Being so knacky you could do it.
I am sure you are really looking forward to your holidays. You deserve it with your grandchildren.
Anyone who suffers from the old anxiety deserves good times.
Take care everyone.
Dawn xx

Doodle Mon 10-Feb-20 22:47:21

Good morning Annie, Doodle, Joce, Rafichigran and all friends on this forum.
Well the weather here has been miserable although not as bad as many other place.
The bad weather always makes anxiety etc seems worse does it not?
My tum has had butterflies and a bit of churning for a few days. Mostly due to family stress.
Joce how long till the holiday and how are you feeling.
Annie how are you doing today. Hope you are not in too much pain. You are to nice much too nice to deserve pain. How is DAVID?
Doodle how is your DGS doing?
I would like to know how you all pass your day when weather is bad. If you feel like sharing.
Take care all you lovely kind people.
Xxxxx.

Hello all.

Flutterby1 My anxiety doesn't seem to be affected by the weather, more by worrying about things in the future or places I've got to go - example, I offered to meet my son at his hospital appointment this Thursday (he's 35, independent, very capable, but it was just for moral support). Already I'm worried about the traffic, where to park, what if I'm late, etc. Daft.

How is everyone today?

Anniebach Tue 11-Feb-20 13:40:41

Hi all x

SalsaQueen no, not daft , all with anxiety think the same things. When I had to leave the bungalow in July for x rays?
will the people taking me there be late or even forget, will
there be many in the waiting room, how long will I have to wait, will I suddenly say ‘take me home now’ before the x Ray,
no one in waiting room, helpers turned up on time , I was first in, didn’t panic and didn’t say get me out of here x

flutterby cold weather makes me anxious, I am so fearful of
snow.
David is a little uncomfortable, i squeezed him too hard, he hasn’t forgiven me from throwing him in the air last year when Wales won.

Have to make a couple of phone calls then will be back

Joce345 Tue 11-Feb-20 16:15:50

Hi all, flutterbyl we go on Monday, got my house sitter coming that always makes me feel better.
Anxiety is horrible I am really struggling, my daughter has been good she always seems to know what to say.
Like others tummy butterflies toilet errr what we would without it... I pass my day trying to keep busy in my little room dolls house sewing, if my head lets me it feels like a constant battle...
holidays always make me nervous leaving my safe place.. I will battle on. I will go to Disney with my lovely grandkids...
hope every one else has had a good day..

Annie we have had a flutter of snow but nothing more hope and pray you don’t get any...

SalsaQueen I am constantly worrying about what ifs..
get my B12 injection tomorrow so hope that gives me a lift fingers crossed takes a day or so to kick in...

Sorry forgot you wanted to know how we passed our time. I do crossword at breakfast. Read GN at lunchtime with either a couple of games or read my book. In the evening I read GN again, more puzzles, TV for a while then some bible readings before bed. In between times I cook, iron, shop, clean and go for a walk. Up late bed early and read.

Anniebach Tue 11-Feb-20 17:55:16

I pass my time same every day, Gransnet , crosswords, SudokuKiller, scrabble, genealogy, been to Anglesey and Lincolnshire today without getting off the sofa. Read poetry. Message granddaughters, talk to my dogs. Pray.

Have discovered BritBox, so evenings watch old programmes,
am enjoying Larkrise to Candleford and Doc Martin from series 1 on. When I go to bed I listen to a audio book , read scripture, pray .

Joce345 Tue 11-Feb-20 18:29:10

Annie I really like Doc Martin big fan

rafichagran Tue 11-Feb-20 19:11:34

Annieeven though you do not go out you keep your mind very active and that's a good thing.
JoceI like Doc Martin too, I find him funny and cumujonly in equal measure.

Joce345 Tue 11-Feb-20 20:06:07
