annie hope it’s not presumptuous of me to start the thread but I appear to have closed the last one and didn’t want to leave anyone with no where to go.
Welcome all x

Doodle Mon 27-Jan-20 20:06:30

annie sorry to hear about your daughters dog. Did she/he live with you? Have you still got another dog? Our pets are always a part of the family and they gives us unconditional love (apart from my son’s cat who lies in pretend sleep waiting for him to pass then claws his leg as he goes by ?)
17 years is a long time. Hope you are ok x

Hello all, I haven't been on here for a while - problems at home, with the eldest son having to move back in with us in December, but things are going on alright.

Anniebach sorry to hear about the dog. She wasn't only a much-loved part of the family, but another link to your daughter. x

Dgrann I think many of us with depression and anxiety can relate to the miserable feelings in the mornings. I'm like that, but I work mornings, so I have to get myself moving. I tell myself that the lighter mornings in the spring will help.

Joce Disneyland, how exciting! It'll be great.

Anniebach Mon 27-Jan-20 17:24:36

Dgrann good luck with your GP

Joce I am ok thanks, have a positive, went out to the recycling bins.

Thank you all, it is difficult for my grandchildren, only two
years since their mother died.

Dgrann please don’t be anxious about speaking to your doctor, you need help and speaking of your worries will enable the doctor to give you the help.

Flutterby a cold, so miserable, hope it clears soon.

I am sad today. My darling daughters dog had to be put to sleep yesterday, my grandchildren drove up the night before to say goodbye to her. She was 17 so a long life , one of five dogs I bought my daughter over the years , another link to
her has gone.

Joce345 Sun 26-Jan-20 13:40:43

Aww Dgrann I hate mornings I just want to stay in bed. My head is always a mess. Think this goes with depression, anxiety. Why do you feel so guilty? don’t feel you have to say.

Annie how are you doing today? our friend.. ?

Doodle Sun 26-Jan-20 13:38:07

Hi Dgrann. Sorry you are feeling low at the moment. When you say you find it hard to get going psychologically, do you mean you can get out of bed and start your day but lack enthusiasm for doing anything? Many of us feel the same for different reasons. Some have health worries, some family concerns but in most cases we have something troubling our minds that can cause panic, dread or just plain old depression.
I suggest that you write down how you are feeling every day and what is causing this if you know. When we write things down it makes it easier to remember all we want to say and gives a clearer picture of the problem. You can then take this paper to the GP and read from it to explain your circumstances. There is no need to feel guilty. People from all walks of life can have low periods and no two people react to the same set of circumstances the same way. Hope you get some help.

Anniebach Sun 26-Jan-20 13:05:55

Hi all x

Dgrann if I may ask? Do you feel guilty because you feel it
difficult to face the day ?

Dgrann777 Sun 26-Jan-20 12:48:09

Hello everyone.
I don’t want to drag anyone down or be a misery but would love a bit of advice. I can’t get going in the mornings not physically but psychologically I feel paralysed, just can’t face the day.
I have Dr appointment on Thursday but am dreading this as I don’t know how to explain...just feel so guilty. X

Joce345 Sun 26-Jan-20 11:08:00

Doodle Sat 25-Jan-20 20:48:45

rafichagran I am sorry you have sciatica. That is so painful. Bad backs are a real problem. Your post makes sense to me. Thinking about ways to avoid the pain is mind distraction of a sort and quite sensible I think. Hope you get some relief from this soon.
joce how lovely to have your granddaughter with you. Have fun ?
Hello annie hope you are ok. I have had an exciting day trying to unblock my kitchen sink?. Been pouring hot water and soda crystals down it and it seems to have solved the problem (either that or poking it with a skewer helped ?)
How are you doing with your books annie? Have you finished Wuthering Heights?
Sleep well all x
