annie hope it’s not presumptuous of me to start the thread but I appear to have closed the last one and didn’t want to leave anyone with no where to go.
Welcome all x

Doodle Sat 04-Apr-20 17:20:21

Sorry all. Couldn’t think how else to do it. Hope you don’t mind.

annie I did read that poem. Funnily enough I know it is a song but I have never heard it sung or even read the words until now even though I new it existed. It is deeply touching especially at this time of year as Easter approaches.
I am re reading my Lent booklet from the C of E which I had 2 years ago. Based mainly on verses from John, it makes good reading.

Take care all. x

Hope you are well.

Hope everyone else is well and staying safe.. have a good day hopefully enjoy the sunshine. ??

Nonnie Sun 05-Apr-20 11:42:43

Thanks all. Hugs back to everyone.

Doodle that looks great, glad I don't need it though, my sewing stops at making curtains, cushion covers and bunting. None of them bear close scrutiny.

Lovely sunny day today but can't seem to motivate to go into the garden, don't know why, nothing in particular happened.

Hope most of you can get out and enjoy the sunshine.

Joce345 Sun 05-Apr-20 12:09:14

Hopefully this will cheer you all a little
grandkids did them to cheer me..

eilyann Sun 05-Apr-20 16:30:46

Doodle and anyone else interested as we enter Holy Week. The Catholic church and I believe Anglican as well, are Livestreaming services from various churches in this country and others. I'm sure that nice Rev Google could help!

Joce345 Sun 05-Apr-20 18:10:58

Hi Doodle yes seen that it’s brilliant.
Been sat in the garden today trying to read, but my head will not stop round and round, tummy churning none stop..
why I don’t know just wish it would stop...
how as every ones day been?

Anniebach Sun 05-Apr-20 18:44:56

Hi all x

I am late posting today sorry, will be honest, no wobble,
Every morning whilst having breakfast I look on two local sites, one gives all the news about our town, as I don’t go to
town it keeps me in the know as to what’s going on.

The second is memories of our town, I enjoy the old photographs, high street with no yellow lines, cars parked in
the most inconvenient places, yes guilty !, photographs of
much loved shops closed years ago.

This morning a photograph of a nursery class of the school,
1974,there was my darling elder daughter age 3, I ached to
hold that beautiful little girl, I wanted it to be 1974 again.

I am ok now x

lavenderzen Sun 05-Apr-20 18:46:40

Hello everyone

How are you Annie xx

The grandchildrens little messages made me smile Joyce they are something to treasure. I'm sorry your tummy feels upset, you are feeling stressed, I hope you soon feel better.
Nonnie sorry yesterday was a bad day for you.
Thank you for your kind thoughts Doodle.

I feel better today, I have had a relaxing day. I have been watching the collared doves on the tree in the garden, they come back every year to the same nest (its very tatty but they build it and tuck all the stray ends in) they are so busy it lifts my mood just to watch them.

I also listened to a service earlier which I enjoyed.

Stay safe everyone, take care and have a peaceful evening. Love to all xx

rafichagran Sun 05-Apr-20 19:35:15

Hello everyone
Please keep well, Annie I know you ache for your daughter, I hope the pain eases a little soon.
Joce those pictures are lovely.
I am working tommorow so anxiety a bit worse, as Doodle said upthread a bit of a Sunday night feeling.

Take care all. Sleep well x

Joce345 Sun 05-Apr-20 20:39:16

Well looks like I am going to be busy for the foreseeable. I will be making bags for the nurses to carry there uniforms in, at the moment they are using plastic carrying bags which I belief is not good. So hear goes. Hope it help and I can make plenty to go round.. if this works I am thinking they can put them straight into the washer in the bag..

lavenderzen Sun 05-Apr-20 20:52:25

Crossed posts Annie. I know how much you miss your darling daughter xx

Anniebach Sun 05-Apr-20 20:56:39

Joce345 Sun 05-Apr-20 21:17:36

SalsaQueen Sun 05-Apr-20 21:39:59

Anniebach Bittersweet memories. I feel for you x

Joce345 Well done, you're helping a good cause.

rafichagran I hope your day at work goes well tomorrow.

lavenderzen It's been a lovely day to be in the garden. I've watched the squirrels in mine, dashing about, burying some of the nuts I left out for them. Mr Cooper (my cat) just sat and looked smile

Nonnie Did you get out into the garden after all?

anyone I missed I hope you all had a decent day.

I'm back to work tomorrow - been off since Wednesday - and looking forward to it. Today was good - son no. 2 came round. He lives alone, and he hadn't seen anyone whatsoever (working from home) for 2 weeks. We (husband, son no. 1 who lives here) sat in the garden (safe distance) for drinks, snacks and a chat.

Anniebach Mon 06-Apr-20 11:06:46

Hi all x

Joyce what a great idea , making the bags x

rafichafran the Sunday night feeling again ? So sorry x

SalsaQueen it’s good you are back at work x

lavender I wish you more relaxing days, nature is healing x

I have washed 30 bottles of my liquid food replacement bottles, only 110 more to do !

Nonnie Mon 06-Apr-20 11:10:55

Joce love the pictures and especially the message about bear NECESSITIES, that child has really got it.

Annie I wonder if at first you were shocked and then sort of smiled. That happened to me once when I unexpectedly saw a photo of DS when a toddler.

Lavender we used to watch the collard doves in our last house, they were lovely, graceful. Glad you are feeling better.

No, I didn't get into the garden, sat around being tearful all day and in pain as I have done something to my groin.

This morning? I am frustrated, angry etc. I have just dialled a public sector number 58 times and been told that 'all our operators are busy'. It is urgent, I have asked my MP as well and he just sent a standard reply. Please don't offer suggestions I have tried everything thanks. I wouldn't be getting so stressed about it if it wasn't vital.

whywhywhy Mon 06-Apr-20 11:21:16

Hi all. I'm sinking fast as I battle depression on a daily basis and now this. I'm stuck in a small house with a husband who I don't even like. Fed up. This must sound terrible to those who have lost loved ones. Stay safe and sane. Sorry to burden you great people with this but I need a hugX

Anniebach Mon 06-Apr-20 11:53:35

whywhywhy please no apology and no one who posts here
Places a burden. Are you having support from your GP ?
How do you fill your days? Do keep posting , let your emotions
out x

nonnie no I didn’t smile, I was distressed then angry, a beautiful 3 year old who grew into a loving, caring daughter,
wife and mother , all taken away by a severe mental illness .

How is the pain in your groin today? x

Joce345 Mon 06-Apr-20 15:30:40

Whywhywhy I know what you are say I feel like I am on the slippery slope... every day gets harder. Do you really not like your husband or is it just a off day. Because I don’t like mine some days, bless him he does have to put up with me and my moods.. I really couldn’t cope if it was the other way round..
I pray every day to feel a little better, for some peace in this head of mine but it goes round and round errrrr

Flutterby1 Mon 06-Apr-20 16:14:26

Hi all
Annie I really felt for you when you told us about the photograph of your lovely 3 year old daughter. They are so cute at that age. I can picture mine at 3. Such innocence, beauty with so much love. I can only imagine your distress. Hope you are ok.
Joce, why why why and others I am also feeling bit on edge today. Trying to distract myself but nothing much is working although I did manage to make some pancakes for afternoon tea. I also did the 15min dance along on This Morning so excercise done. Have not been going out for a walk so just walking In the garden. Oh and I had a lovely bubble bath this morning. All that said I am still feeling bit churny.
Nonnie sorry to hear you are in pain I hope it’s bit easier to cope with today.
Time to put the kettle on so I will catch you later.
Much love and hugs to all x
