Anyone had the Nissen Fundoplication opearation? Thank you

My SiL had it a few years ago now.
It seemed to be successful. He was told to keep his weight down or the reflux would reappear.
As far as I know it never has.
It was down to be day surgery but for some reason I forget, raised blood pressure I think, he was kept in overnight.

Yes it is for acid reflux, exacerbated by hiatus hernia, I just wondered if anyone had been through it? Thanks

It is a surgical procedure for the dreaded GORD. Usually a p laparoscopic procedure. It aims to stop acid reflux.
