Tinnitus!

I have it in one ear. Like you, I find it doesn't bother me too much during the day. I've had it for several years.

I do hear it at night or when I'm not active, especially when lying down. It's intermittent, though, a fast buzzing sound for a few seconds, then it stops. Sometimes it stops if I shake my head. Mostly I try not to concentrate on it, especially when trying to get to sleep.

I'm sure this subject has been covered before but I'd be interested in any advice/tips from anyone who has tinnitus.
I've recently noticed tinnitus in just one ear which doesn't seem to bother me much during the day but is very noticeable at night when it's quiet. I'm using an app on my phone of heavy rainfall which does help mask it.

Do you have it in one ear or two and for how long have you had it? Have you learned to manage and live with it?
