I’m not a medic but if I were you (and I was you several years ago ) ....If I were you, I would go and have an X-ray taken. Yes, knee injury takes longer to heal. But only an X-ray can show what’s happening in the joint. I don’t what the protocol is where you are. Is there a walk-in facility in your hospital or do you a need a letter from your GP.? Ring the hospital in the morning. Let us know how you get on . Good luck !!!
Two weeks ago I tripped over a kerb in the dark. My knees were really hurt and my left one swelled right up. I rested it the next day and the swelling went down considerably. The bruises came out over the next few days and my left knee was quite spectacular with the bruise spreading down into my calf. I've still got the bruises now and the left one is still painful, slightly swollen and feels hot. Just wondering if this is normal as I can't remember ever having something taking this long to heal. I'm wondering if I could have chipped the patella or something? Any medics on here who could give me some advice please?
