I work in a care home and in one way I think this is absolutely fabulous for residents and their families however I don’t think the lateral flow test is very accurate and this is what they’re going to have to take before coming into the home. I am currently self isolating because I tested positive for coronavirus and have to isolate for 10 days and I’m halfway through it. We get the test that is sent away in the home every Monday, I also do lateral flow tests at home twice a week. I have done a lateral flow test twice since I’ve been isolating the latest one was this morning and it is saying negative. Apparently the lateral flow test will only show if you have a high level of infection so I am not sure about this at all....
