After a shocking night's sleep, do you look a trifle vampiric come morning? wink Puffy eyes, dark rings, wan complexion? Aside from matchsticks to prop the eyelids open, what beauty products help? Do you have an under-eye concealer you swear by? Cucumber on the eyelids? A triple layer of foundation? Bronzer? What’s your go-to product for tricking the world into thinking you’ve had your full quota of shut-eye?

I love to use Clarins blue orchid treatment oil, and it's always on my Christmas and birthday wish list, so I always have a bottle on the go, it really does seem to make the fine lines lessen and gives my skin a glow.

Foundation, blusher and of course a bit of lippy

This was recommended to me by my sister and at only £5 is just the bees knees for me - True Nutra Effects Radiance Tinted Moisturiser, it moisturises and adds some colour to my face so I love this. (Good old Avon)

I'm not sure there is a trick. Just remember to smile! You always look better smiling even if not well rested.

Bare Minerals Well Rested eye powder is pretty good

I just splash my face with cold cold water first thing, which seems to help. Then concealer as normal.

MeganR Fri 19-Mar-21 21:25:21

Moisturiser!

Lavender aromatherapy oil.

I just use Clinique’s Concealer to hide the ever-present bags under my eyes!

I would recommend the Benefit concealer which is great for dark shadows. Although a bit pricier than other brands, it lasts for ages.

It's been so long since I had a good night's sleep I don't think anything really makes me look glowing and rested in the morning - I used to just wash my face with a gentle soap and cold water, pat dry with a towel (or dry flannel) and put light, natural colour make-up on (little bit of eyeshadow, tiny touch of blusher or bronzing pearls and lipstick) - mascara always enhances the eyes

A silk eye mask and pillow case - It was a gift from my daughter - it does seem to help with my skin and hair -it does feel and look better, and it's so much cooler in the summer

I’m reading this thread with interest as I don’t usually use any beauty products.

I use Only Regenerist Night Cream and a nice gentle massage in the morning helps. The one advantage of lockdown is that not many people are seeing me in the morning!

Harmonypuss Fri 19-Mar-21 03:50:09

For me there's no point in trying to make people think I've had more sleep than I have because those who know me know I only sleep between 90mins and 2hrs a day, so there's no point throwing good money at a waste of time, a splash of cold water is a good as it gets!

This Works - Morning Expert Serum with added Vit C smells of refreshing citrus and plumps my face up looking like I have had a great kip!

DUDY Thu 18-Mar-21 11:21:20

I use Manuka Doctor Age-Defying Eye Cream and YSL Touche Eclat.
I like the recommendations for L'Oreal Rosy Glow and I've just ordered the Day Cream on Amazon.
Heads up ladies it's £7.48 today and £14.99 in Boots!

Silvergran59 Thu 18-Mar-21 11:15:08

After a cold swill in the morning, I use Nivea Q10 anti-wrinkle and anti-ageing range to ease out the lines and plump up my skin. I am looking for a collagen boosting serum to use - so any recommendations would be most welcome smile

montydoo Thu 18-Mar-21 10:59:05

L'Oreal Rosy Glow gives me a healthy glow from my ghostly white - I love the sheen it gives me - it seems to help with face contouring, and with a but of lippy and mascara makes me look presentable.

Livvie21 Thu 18-Mar-21 10:58:21

I generally put some face serum on as soon as I get up then put make up on while I'm having my first cuppa! I normally look okay then!!

Lorraine379 Thu 18-Mar-21 10:17:40

I use L’Oreal Rosy Glow day cream which I hope makes a difference!

Tillymint21 Wed 17-Mar-21 23:18:48

A good serum and moisturiser go a long way to making the start of the day feel better! I’m currently trying Versed Skin Soak Moisture Cream after it was recommended, and I really like it. And when feeling in dire need of help then I always go to Clarins Beauty Flash Balm.

compfan Wed 17-Mar-21 15:07:36

natures's own beauty product - lots of water :-)

19panda Wed 17-Mar-21 14:43:30

Definitely my Laura Geller powder and I can manage to put it on in the dark in seconds ?

janemaca Wed 17-Mar-21 11:49:14

Cleanse thoroughly then massage in some Hyaluronic serum, using firm sweeping movements. Gently pinch along jawline, cheekbones and brows. Top with a few drops of Marula or Rosehip oil, using fingertips to tap all over face, eye socket area and neck. Add coverage and colour as required then apply some whitening eye drops. There now, feeling better??? smile
