The only point about taking it if not prescribed (although your doctor knows) is checking it’s recorded on your medical records.

I will get that checked out, thank you...?

And here is the culprit...

What is worse Shinamae is that if only you had a B and M the same product is 45p!

?‍♀️?There is a B&M quite near me, I will remember for next time next time...thank you..?

PS: doesn't excuse Tesco though!

Mostly, it is helpful if we can buy these 'over the counter' medicines. It costs the NHS quite a lot to process a prescription, and if you can afford the 45p / 75p / £1.50 then it it saves the NHS some money.
I use paracetamol as my main analgesia. I have a repeat prescription at my GP that I use if I have been unable to buy enough.

I think this advice from the NHS website may be useful:

About low-dose aspirin
Daily low-dose aspirin is a blood thinning medicine. Aspirin is also known as acetylsalicylic acid.

Low-dose aspirin helps to prevent heart attacks and strokes in people at high risk of them.

Your doctor may suggest that you take a daily low dose if you have had a stroke or a heart attack to help stop you having another one.

Or, if you're at high risk of heart attack - for example, if you have had heart surgery or if you have chest pain caused by heart disease (angina).

Only take daily low-dose aspirin if your doctor recommends it.

My FiLs doctor suggested he take aspirin daily after a stroke but if your doctor hasn't asked you to take it then maybe you should speak to him/her.
The hike in price though at Tesco is far too high.

If you need to take aspirin daily, you should be able to get it on prescription, where its effects will be monitored. Why are you buying it, when it should be taken under medical supervision?

I have been prescribed it twice, as a belt and braces: approach after heart attacks.
I'm so glad to be off it again, as it caused all sorts of gastric problems.

Shocking really isn't it ?

Fascinating

For a couple of years now I have taken a 75 mg daily aspirin. I got it at Tesco’s and it was 75p however in the last couple of months it has gone up to £1.50!!!exactly the same product but I have bought it regardlesss. In town today I went into Wilkinsons to look if they had it and they did at 80p so obviously Tesco is blatantly profiteering...... another thing with Tesco they have recently brought a finest gravy granules out but it is in a plastic jar instead of glass can’t believe that either. And before anybody says why do you shop at Tesco? I shop there because I can walk there in five minutes and I don’t drive....
