About an hour ago I was cutting down some brambles, felt something buzzing round me then felt sting I’m pretty sure it was a bee.My Son had a look but could not see the sting so I have just bathed it with apple cider vinegar and the swelling has gone down so hopefully there is an end to it ????

as it's on your mouth area, if any sign of swelling spreading please ring 111.
are you alone. if so, ring them anyway.
all the best.

Take an antihistamine if you have some as a precaution too.

I can never remember which is for a wasp sting and which is for a bee. I always keep liquid piriton in case of a sting in the mouth area but that is for the dog, not me.

People pay a lot for that, Shinamae!

Seriously, phone 111 if concerned and take some anti-histamine if you have any.
Bicarb for bees, vinegar for vasps.

We had a dog which always leapt up and caught wasps, he sometimes got a sting.

Thank you ladies, ????I take an antihistamine every morning anyway for hayfever. I do have very thin lips and I know “bee sting”is a thing for lips, but it was only on one side!!… I did call 111 as a precaution and they are quite happy with the situation.. The swelling has completely gone down now, I think it was the cider vinegar…

Thank goodness!

Our dog always looked lopsided but seemed to recover fairly quickly.

Thanks Jax. I must write it down somewhere! Can it be any vinegar?
