After nearing the end of my treatment for Breast Cancer I have been asked if I want Zolendric Acid.
I believe it will be given by a drip. Every 6 months for 3 years.
If you have had this treatment how did you get on.
Did you have any side effects.

My daughter had them every month, I think, for a couple of years.
They can make your bones ache, but she didn't feel any other ill effects.

I have had an annual infusion for three years then a year off, and during the year off I had a dexa scan which showed some bone density improvement I had this years appointment cancelled through CoviD so presume I will be offered another three years after this one ? Maybe

It takes a quarter of an hour for the infusion with no pain or problems I didn’t have any side effects at all

I have this as an infusion, every 4 weeks.
As BlueBelle says, it takes roughly 15 minutes, and no side effects.

I believe a lot of people with multiple myeloma are given it. Some of them seem to have flu like symptoms afterwards.

Our son in law has multiple myeloma and has one of these infusions fortnightly. They cause him no problems, indeed he is driving 250 miles to Devon to see his parents directly after the next one.

Since mastectomy, I've have Zoledronic Acid infusions every four months. A little achey for a couple of days. After which, no other side effects.
