Toxoplasmosis is a common infection that you can catch from the poo of infected cats, or infected meat. It's usually harmless but can cause serious problems in some people.

Prednisolone is best taken in the morning, as it can cause insomnia (as you've discovered. A Paramedic told me that, as when I had Prednisolone, I hardly slept and was ironing at 3am.

Have you been abroad recently ?
How long is a piece of string is the answer to how long it'll take to clear as it varies in days and weeks and greatly depends if it had been treated immediately, plus your own general health.

Has anyone else had an extensive bout of this distressing problem? Taking 5 different sets of tablets at different times of day, including Prednisolene which is a powerful stimulant and which leaves me dancing the tango in my bed all hours of the night, with only ca. 1.5 hours sleep. Very debilitating.
Question is....how long does it take a large inflammation adjacent to the optic nerve to be treated? Hospital excellent but very pressed for time, hence the questions here. TIA
