Yes, my dd1’s friend has just had her two toddlers come down with Covid, Chickenpox and norovirus! Poor parents were tearing their hair out as they both work FT. ?

Just an alert really. Now restrictions easing - because people have been socially distancing and wearing masks, washing hands, using sanitisers for past 2 years - and now many are not there is an upsurge in norovirus and chickenpox especially in schools and nurseries.
DGS1 had norovirus 2 weeks ago - from school. DGS2 has currently chickenpox from nursery which he has given to mummy who has had to be signed off work. She is a nurse with vulnerable children so can't risk going in. She had chickenpox badly as a toddler and I thought you only caught it once. There are more than usual numbers of children and staff off with both these viruses and also flu in our area. I think we need to be alert to this happening as things get closer to normal.
