Renal cyst

I was also suspected of having kidney stones at first but l was in pain and sent to A&E by an emergency gp who said he could feel a large mass which needed urgent investigation. After the scan l was then told by a non renal consultant that it was a renal cyst. I believe there are different types and this is the less serious and they dont normally cause problems. I'm waiting to see if they follow it up. The pain has lessened but it was very painful at the time.

They found a cyst on my liver while scanning my gallbladder,
Gallbladder was removed but nothing was said about treating the liver cyst. I did wonder. This was in early in 2019 so pre covid.

I have exactly the same but was told my pain was unrelated and because I am on warfarin was told I would have to come off it prior to surgery for the cyst and this would be more dangerous than just leaving it alone.I had a scan because initially kidney stones were thought to be the problem as the pain was very severe especially at night but this was not so and I am still having the pain investigated. I was told renal cysts were very common and generally go undiagnosed because they are painless.

Has anyone been diagnosed with a renal cyst? and does it cause pain and discomfort. I've been having stitch-like pain that got worse, had ultrasound and told l have a 5 cm diameter cyst but not serious unless it bursts or becomes infected.
