I had the 4th jab in March all Pfzer, first one a bit of a sore arm where the jab went in, after that nothing.
I have been very lucky even when hubby caught Covid off our grandson I didn't get it. Considering I have a low white blood count it's amazing.

Get well Marydoll. I am so pleased you have received such great treatment.

Thank you, I am one grateful and very fortunate (also relieved) lady! Though some may dispute the lady part.

Missedout, I hope things improve for you, soon. ?
I too was given monoclonal antibodies, last week.

I plan to contact my GP tomorrow, the side effects are getting me down. It is not unexpected, as I suffer from multi drug allergies.

However, I have not been sick enough to go to be admitted to hospital, which makes it all worth it!
Take care.

Both DH and I had 4th Vaccine ( moderna ) a week ago and have felt tired an achy since then. All others were Pfizer and no reactions at all. I am not sure that I will be proactive about a fifth vaccine in the autumn. We are both over 80.

If you have had covid, you should wait at least 28 days before having any further vaccines/boosters.

I had 3 primary vaccinations (2 AZ and one Pfizer) then caught covid last Christmas so my booster (also Pfizer) had to wait until the end of January. My 5th vaccination (2nd booster) is booked for the beginning of May.

I was given monoclonal antibodies when I tested positive. I was never sick enough to need hospital treatment but I was pretty miserable for around 6 weeks and still get very tired. I hope everyone gets better faster than I did - I really don't want to get it again. I know I have some antibodies now but I'm still nervous about crowds indoors.

I never had any reactions to any of the vaccines.

I had my fourth vaccination on Saturday and have a painful arm but otherwise okay.
My first two vaccinations were AZ and then I had Pfizer for the third. Last booster was Moderna, they said all over 75s were being given Moderna this time, better protection from a mix of vaccine.

I had my fourth vaccine at the beginning of April. It was the Moderna Spikevax vaccine.I was given a leaflet which said the fifth dose has to be given 28 days later. It also said that if you were immunocompromised you had to have another dose 28 days after the fifth one.I've had no reaction to any of the vaccines.

Oh, I forgot. Had covid 3 weeks ago. Cold symptoms. One day of feeling very off colour.

GagaJo Mon 18-Apr-22 10:18:18

My first, Moderna. Fluey, tired, arm very sore, couldn't use it for 3 days.

Second, Moderna. Mostly just tired, but very mild cold symptoms for one day.

Third, Pfizer. No side effects at all.

I had Moderna as my 4th vaccine and like the other three no side effects and no sore arm. I have now had a dose of each vaccine and survived.

I had the spring booster vaccine last month, no side effects apart from arm ache.........The vaccine used was the moderna. I had the Pfizer vaccine for my other three so was a bit concerned......I would not have had the AstraZeneka though......though family members have had it with no problems.

Well done Marydoll we really need to be proactive and state our concerns as you say. Good to hear a praise for our poor NHS too. It amazes me how so many people have managed to catch this virus, despite all the precautions. Our neighbours caught it from asymptomatic DGC twice! Allsorts it is a difficult decision if you have reacted badly to previous jabs. All the best.

Marydoll Mon 18-Apr-22 08:28:42

Thanks, Iam. I caught it from DH, who caught it from asymptomatic DGD and by the time we realised she was positive, it was too late.

I was fast tracked for anti-virals, eighteen hours from testing positive, to going into hospital for ones, which were tailored to my needs and would not contra-indicate with my other medication.
I have nothing but praise for the NHS. Two years ago, I would probably have died!
I hope you are keeping well.

Get well Marydoll

I believe, those of us who are CEV and immunocompromised are to have a fifth vaccination.
It can be administered three months after your fourth.

LadyGracie Mon 18-Apr-22 08:12:26

DH has been called for his 5th vaccine. Is this a mistake?

Marydoll Mon 18-Apr-22 07:58:05

As CEV and immunocompromised, I have had four vaccinations. The first two were AZ and I was in bed for three weeks each time and the side effects had to be reported to the Yellow Card site.

I insisted on a different one for my third Primary and booster. I have now had two Pfizer ones, with little side effects, after explaining to a doctor at the vaccination centre the problem with AZ.

The doctor admitted that I knew more about the vaccines than he did. You have to be proactive and state your concerns.

I have Covid at the moment. Instead of being in Covid ICU, four vaccinations and anti virals, have kept me out of hospital and probably saved my life..
Good luck, its a difficult decision to make. I never wavered about getting the vaccine.

I went for my first Astra Zeneca vaccination and within hours was ill, my arm swole up and my elbow was so painful, it was like having flue this elbow still hadn't gone back to normal and is still swollen, I had the second one, not so bad, then the third bad again, then Igot Covid, still dont feel well, I am very wary of having a fourth which is booked for a few days. It feel like I'm asking for trouble.
