So I have been having hospital appointments for the past year and had 3 admissions. Investigations revealed I had a poly (5 cm).in my Duodenum. This was removed in August last year as it was pre cancerous. Duodenal cancer is not common but it is it seems hard to cure. It was dealt with by endoscope. Since then I have 3 monthly checks (100 miles away from home) in order to remove any remnants and or regrowth. In.March my colon also was checked. I drank 3 litres of Movicol prior to the procedure but this still did not clear the bowel. They were doing washes of the colon wall as they went along. Three further polyps were removed but they were benign. The report states I have this floppy colon which seems to be a term for it being redundant. I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced it? My understanding is that this is genetic and means the actual colon is a good bit longer than average and so a lot of loops, twists and turns. I never seem to have a healthy enjoyment of food and wonder if this is one explanation.
