Hello Lilliesmum79.

The free version of My Fitness Pal has a food diary and calorie counter, it keeps a running total of your calories each day so you can tell if you’re on target.

When DH was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes the nurse showed us a useful book and we bought a copy. It has lots of pictures of popular foods and gives the calorie, carb, fat and protein content. This is the link:

Just type the food name and calories into Google and up will come the calorei count. particularly good for made-up foods like ready meals, biscuits, cakes etc.

All tinned and packaged foodshave the calorie value printed on the packaging.
