Has anyone had a CT colonoscopy? Is it the same as a normal colonoscopy, which I have had in the past. Information and experiences please.

I had a CT colonoscopy a couple of years ago. It's less invasive than a "full " colonoscopy. You still have to do the pre prep stuff though.
It was fairly easy to go through, but it often won't show everything that they are looking for, so you may like me, have to go through a full colonoscopy at another time.

I recently had to have polyps removed which they did at the same time as the Colonoscopy, if they find anything on the CT scan, you will have to go back and be treated, probably with a full Colonoscopy. However if all is clear then no probs.

I always find the prep, particularly the laxatives, to be worse than the procedure!
