This morning I phoned my surgery to ask whether the blood pressure reading, that I have been asked to have, could be taken when I go for my Vit B12 injection, at 11.00 am tomorrow morning .
Only to be told by the receptionist that not only has the venue been changed, but also the time!
She said I would have been notified by text. I have checked my text messages and there are no new messages.
If I hadn't rung the surgery, to ask about the blood pressure, I would be none the wiser.
Should I complain? I know the surgeries are busy, and ours is a small practice, but really, it is doing my blood pressure no good at all this morning. ?

I can see my records online, and have regularly seen 'patient notified by text' on the record, when I know I have not had a message. I don't know if it means that the system can tell that I have accessed the online system, or whether it is just wrong.

I am not surprised your blood pressure is sky high try to relax more to settle it Flo.
Our surgery has been like Fort Knox since even before covid as our three doctors and nurse retired.
Getting an appointment is impossible and yet the new doctors are on the premises everyday. I know this because my friend works there as a medical secretary.
When we make a phone call we are given a time and date for a phone consultation weeks in advance.
We are also told to go to the Walk In next door depending on the problem you have as it’s triage system.
We are left waiting for hours literally then we are told they cannot deal with the problem so go to the doctors!
It does make me wonder what the doctors are getting paid for it is totally ridiculous.

I don’t think it is worth the effort this time , make a note of it & log any further ‘mistakes’ .best wishes

I wouldn’t complain - it won’t change what happened. I know it’s very annoying but try to relax in the interests of your blood pressure.

How frustrating Auntieflo. If you attend the practice I think you do they are known for their inefficiency. Doesn’t excuse them though. Make your annoyance known when you attend the appointment. Keep smiling!?

If you complain I doubt anything will be done, it will just annoy you more when they just say, thank you for telling us.

Thanks all for agreeing with me. DH made me a bucket? of coffee to calm me down. Not sure if it was the best thing, but he is a good listener.
We went out for lunch and a mooch around the shops, for a bit of retail therapy, which has done me good.
Now I am going to read my book and possibly snooze. ?
