Any physiotherapists out there?
I have had a bad left elbow about a year. Pain was right in the spot every image posts for tennis elbow. I have experienced varying degrees of discomfort with this depending on level of activity. At worst, , certain movements have felt as though I ripped to shreds every muscle or tendon in that area.
I have had an X-ray which showed nothing. However, the area has a pea sized lump where the little bony bit is. All around looks bigger and thickened than the other side. Is this characteristic of tennis elbow?
waiting forever to get an ultrasound….
worried.

An osteopath should be able to help you, but unfortunately not on the NHS.

I had tennis elbow over a number of years, it would improve and then become very painful again. I never noticed a lump though. I saw a physio who suggested I try acupuncture, despite being rather doubtful I gave it a try as nothing was working. Much to my amazement it cured it completely.

Can you get yourself a 'sports' massage'? One really sorted out my shoulder twinges a few years ago.
As the massage went on I could feel things popping and it was explained that sacs of fluid had built up in the muscles and these caused irritation. No shoulder issues at all since then - three years ago.

I was pretty desperate about this at one point. I tried acupuncture and that helped. Tincture of time works too though.

Thank you for this. I’ll try accupuncture. Was mostly concerned about the bulge at the spot. Perhaps it is scar tissue….

Frozen shoulder has a shelf life of 2 years and that’s when mine went almost overnight around the 2 years mark

I had months of physiotherapy for Tennis Elbow which made little difference. Eventually, I went to an osteopath (unfortunately not available on the NHS) and he helped me resolve it within a few sessions.

I had something similar when going back to playing tennis after lockdown. I bought a Tens machine specifically for the problem. It’s quite small and fits onto the arm and used gradually up to 10- mins a day.
I won’t advertise, but it pops up if you google it.
