The only safe way to lose weight is to eat less and exercise . And before anyone asks I do know what I am talking about. In 5 years counting calories everyday and weight everything I eat and drink and not buying foods I have no control over have lost over 7 st was size 32 now a 14/16 top 16 bottom . Still want to lose a stone and bit. But if it takes me another year so be it. I am 64 . Have mobility problems because of a neurological condition which I was born with and a heart condition . Still able to gentle exercises and walk a bit. In constant pain . But I decided to lose it by myself. Unless the person wants to lose weight injections and the like won't work. You have to do it for yourself. And realise it's a marathon not a sprint if I lost quarter of a pound a week I was happy. Some weeks I stay the same weight some weeks out a pound on but I just keep plugging away.
There are no short cuts to losing weight and keeping it off. It's hard work but we'll worth it.
My friend who is very overweight and has diabetics under active thyroid and a number of other medical problems was put in these injections a few months ago the first ones she was put on gave her constant diarrhea so they changed them and she’s been on these new ones about 6 weeks or more and hasn’t noticed any difference in weight She has to inject every day I don’t think she’s over impressed
Has anyone had one? I'm frustrated with my weight loss ..know I don't do enough steps/exercise for various reasons..tried Orlostat few years ago and worked for a time but didn't like the side effects.. now reading about this jab you can get if GP feels it would help in battling weight loss ..would like to know if any GNs have tried it or, interested in it?
