Anyone else having anxiety/depression triggered by covid infection?

Quite a few people I know but close to me a good friend and a family member have and it was very upsetting seeing them like this. Their anxiety was probably already developing because of different personal circumstances. It became more serious when Covid was at its height and no help was available as apparently it did for so many.
I am glad to say both have had counselling and necessary medication. I know without this intervention one in particular would have been in a serious place mentally.
If you are having problems with anxiety talk to someone it’s nothing to be ashamed of so seek help.

Sorry to hear this. I have General Anxiety Disorder due to life events (not Covid). It's terrifying. I hope you get some help.

This has just happen to my DS.He had covid a few months ago.He has terrible panic attacks really frightening and is not in good place at the moment.
I think the anxiety was was in the background and covid was the last straw. He is getting help and medication now and hopefully be able to get back to normal.

I sympathise with anyone who suffers with anxiety or panic attacks. It is truly awful. Before I experienced it, if I heard someone say they had this problem, I would think 'Oh for goodness sake get a grip'. No more. It can ruin lives and relationships. I wish your son well Yiayia..
