I buy my contacts online from Feel Good Contacts - very reasonable. (monthly disposable) just put my prescription in and hey presto delivered the next day.

So do I, FeelGood is brilliant. I've never heard of a contract for contacts. I wear daily disposables, I order them monthly and they arrive the next day. And in fact this month, they suggested I try an even cheaper brand, as a cost of living help.

Lensesdirect is my go to online supplier.
I wear variofical glasses and my lenses are same as yours , one eye long sighted and one eye short sighted- works very well .
I buy monthlies and wear them 90% of the time only occasionally putting glasses .

Sorry should have added , you need separate prescription for contact lenses than your glasses, different no's, axis etc.
But once you have the proper prescription you can order online - much cheaper.

Prescriptions for contact lenses and glasses are different.

I used to use Feel Good contacts but swapped to Lenstore as they offered free lens checks at Vision Express.
At present I wear multifocal contacts so it only works out about £10 a year cheaper than a monthly contract to order direct. That is with one lens consultation a year. It mounts up if you go more often.
You need to factor in solutions, cases and check ups as well as the offers such as half price glasses that contracts give you.
You'll need to look online and do a bit of maths.

As others have said you need to pay for a lens check up regularly as spectacle and contacts prescriptions are different.

Thank you all for your advice. I wasn't charged for the contact lens test so this must have been included in the annual contract. That must be why I wasn't given the prescription. I can see that I need to do some calculations. I just feel it is wasteful to have monthly disposable when I only wear them 3 times a week. I am automatically sent 3 months supply at a time and each month throw away lenses that have probably only been worn 12 times. I currently pay £38 a month. It makes the cost per wear expensive.

Mazgg contract or the not I think that you should be given a copy of your prescription, and certainly if you ask for it.

My lens person told me that monthly lenses are made for 30 wears. So if you don't wear them every day you don't need to change them every month.
The same go for stuff like eye drops that say to discard after so many weeks.
She says it is all a ploy to get you to buy more.

It makes sense for you to cancel the contract and buy when you need them.

Your lens prescription will be on the boxes.
