Patient Knows Best…..NHS

I might have made a boob. Our surgery uses Patient Access, its supposed to have your medial records on there, but it is very sketchy, it ties in with the NHS app and the info on there is similar but slightly different format. I have accessed both today for the first time for a few months (waiting on a DEXA scan appointment) and the NHS one is updated with Patient Knows Best (Reading through the info, I thought it was giving a more in-depth record), but apart from saying I am in a completely different area Trust, there is nothing on there other than my personal details. I cant find a delete for it. Does anyone use the Patient Knows Best and could give me a bit of info on how it works. (For info, I am computer savvy, but wonder how less able people might navigate around these things). Thank you in anticipation.

I just tried on my NHS App and it just has a tab ‘My GP Health Record’ with the information I expected?

Not the question in the OP, but the name of the app. sounds all wrong to me. How can 'patient know best' when they have not done the 6-9 years study + umpteen years experience?

Because they 'have read it on the internet'?

True, but on the other hand, no-one knows your own body better than you do, and it can be very easy for patients to be dismissed when they know, deep down, that there is something not right.

But mistakes have been made on medical records, address and phone number, jabs recorded as not given when they were, dates of surgical procedures, even blood group. I don’t dispute superior medical knowledge, but administrative detail is not immune to error.
A friend some years ago miscarried one of twins and the “surviving” twin died soon after birth. On asking a doctor at a check up a few weeks later when she might try for another baby was told she was being a bit “greedy” as she had one healthy baby didn’t she? Somebody had not checked her records.
A bit of “belt and braces” is no bad thing and to extend ownership of one’s records is IMO totally justified.
