Convalescence after scooter accident

My husband has had a very nasty accident with his electric scooter
He fell down several concrete steps and has several injuries including internal bleeding to the liver
The surgeon says he’s now medically fit to go home with monitoring of the liver but his mobility , which was bad before the accident is now virtually nonexistent
Does anybody know of a convalescent home he could go to where they would build him back up including some daily physio ?

Depends where in the country you are but speak to the discharge team in the hospital. They will be best placed to know what is available in your local area.
Sometimes they have access to rehabilitation units funded by health if deemed necessary.

Our local hospital discharges patients to a rehab ward in another building.

Sorry - no edit function. He should also be assessed as to whether he needs carers at home. Speak to occupational therapy at the hospital.
