Hi all. Just another quickie but to share my good news with you. DH is home. After a long day wrangling with the hospital they sorting him out and no sooner was he out of the bed than someone else was in it.🤣
Really tired now, my shoulders are so painful but hopefully now I’m not driving back and for to the hospital and I’m not sitting in those chairs. It will improve. After only a couple of minutes typing though my fingers are going numb so sorry not replying to all. Please know that I’m thinking of you all and sending love. Xx

My siblings are much more carefree than I. I think they maybe laugh together about me. We inherited the wrong genes!😄

HVDY I hated Last of TSW. My husband loved both could never get me to watch. I thinkmy sense of humour has changed. I find Allo Allo hilarious. I like programs that make me laugh. Watched Alias S&J too.

nadateturbe I never liked 'allo 'allo, nor Last of the Summer Wine (DH likes both). I preferred Only Fools & Horses, Steptoe & Son, and Alas Smith and Jones, things like that.

SweetpeaSue The whitening gel did make my teeth and gums sting a bit (you leave the moulds in overnight) but the difference was really noticeable. I might ask about composite bonding (at least get a quote), as a couple of my teeth are quite small and could do with being built up. Glad you haven't got any pain, hope you manage to get out.

We've got Baby Girl here all day. We've borrowed Son2's car (left him mine) as he has got a car seat - I've been looking online to buy one for my car, but am really confused now. She's gone to sleep, so we'll take her out later. Hope ALL BDers manage to have a decent day x

Doodle That shoulder and arm pain sounds so terrible. I wonder if the nerves have been affected with the pain stabbing. It's difficult (in public) but could you try gently stretching and relaxing the muscles that are affected throughout the day? Sorry if that sounds unhelpful and obvious . Do hope your DH gets home today- it will be so much better for you both.
Scaredycat Thankyou for your encouragement about ADs . Oh I am glad your GGS coped well with the instillation. How good he is and perhaps he'll feel better about any further ones as he's had the first so will be familiar with it all, bless him.
Nadateturbe You are kind and you've so much to put up with yourself.Thankyou. What a lovely sister and so brave. Life is unfair, as you say, and unjust. My sisters and myself are so different in personality. I think I'm the 'serious' one and overtime everything!
HVDY Glad the dentist visit is done and dusted. I've been putting my Dentist visit off but will need to get it sorted.The whitening gel I'd be interested in. Does it hurt sensitive teeth?

ScaredyCat I didn't need to have anything done (just a scale and polish), which was good as I hadn't been for 18 months. I haven't got to go again for a year, but I'm going to ask about whitening gel (I had it some years ago and it was really good, cost about £300 but I've still got the moulds). Hope you're ok.

I've been doing more online shopping for Christmas presents (I love it) whilst DH has been watching all the tv programmes I don't like . He's now watching New Tricks, so I'm going to leave the food out for Foxy and then go to bed. Love to all x

What a brave little boy Scaredycat. It's good he can cope so well.
My sister uses a walker, and lives on painkillers but doesnt suffer agony, which makes a difference. She's also a very cheerful, upbeat person, (much more so than me!), which helps. She doesn't really think about what happened. Has a full life.

Sweetpeasue sorry you're still suffering so much. Help is really much too slow. I hope you get an appointment soon for new ADs. I wish I could give you a hug.x

Doodle maybe try Sweetpeasue's suggestion of heat pack. I would usually give symptoms a week and if they're still there, see the doctor.
Sometimes a freezer pack helps if heat doesn't. I do hope it improves soon.

Whiff are they lights? Very cheerful.

HVDY Useful shop B&M. I must make a trip, we don't have one close. Your don- everyone needs some chill time alone.
Enjoy your cornflakes - can't eat them, fed them too often when I was a child.

Doodle- so sorry you are suffering such pain - you could be right that sitting unnaturally for days could have started it.
Hopefully tomorrow DH will be back home with you and life will become more normal. The stress you,ve been under doesn’t help either. Have you got one of those micro wave heat things to help with the pain?

We don’t have a B and M so miss Wilkos - it was impossible to go in there and come out empty handed. Hope you enjoyed your mooching.
Your story of what happened to you is horrific- I didn’t know BP could go up that high. I wouldn’t believe what they said either but acceptance for you was the right way to go- you are a strong lady.
SweetPeaSue- please don’t apologise for anything- you have been treated abominably and are still so damaged in many ways by what happened. I really hope you can talk with someone who actually hears what you are saying and gives you some kind of peace.
Don’t give up on the ADs - you will find one that helps - I think many people have to try several before they get one that suits them
Nadateturbe- yes my GGS has been brave hasn’t he. I bumped into his Mum today and she said he was really good and didn’t bat an eyelid at it all.
How awful your little sister was hurt in a road accident. I hope her injuries didn’t leave her with any permanent problems.
Life is certainly unfair and fate deals some terrible hands to many people.

Doodle Yes, he does. He works from home all the time so never gets the house to himself these days . He's also knocking on a bit for a first-time dad (39). He loves it all, though. Great news that your husband is now doing so well and may be able to go home. Hope your pain eases off later.

Whiff Thankyou for taking the time to help . Your pain is just as valid and makes no difference that you were born with it- I mean pain is pain. You are right that this thread allows us to share without criticism and I have been helped a lot being on it. I believe that there should be some changes so Dr's feel able to admit to mistakes.
You have so much to cope with and you always have caring things to say to others.
HVDY I put away my medical records and scans, letters a while ago.They were always by my chair but I haven't the strength for the fight that would most likely end up withe more disappointment. You understand our limits. Hope you had a good browse at B&M.
Doodle Hoping you are not still in such severe pain today. It will be so hard for you to continue with driving and hospital visits. Do feel for you and hope your DH is continuing to improve.

Extremely low day and called MH place as no call back. Nurse called Dr and she's said to come off these ADs and I'll apparently get another appt with her through post. The help and communication through them all is so slow. I've told them I'm sinking so can't do more. I've not been lucky with ADs so far.

Son2 nipped round on his way home from work (he only goes into the office once a fortnight) but didn't want to stay for dinner. He said he was looking forward to having an hour's peace before DIL and baby get in x

Went with my daughter and youngest grandson to a garden center near us for lunch. My grandson is 3 tomorrow. So treated myself to some Christmas cheer. Hopefully will make you smile. And lighten your mood 🤣

then we're going to go to B&M for --stuff we don't need--essential items.

HVDY 350! Good gracious.! Who knows what it caused. I was just saying to my husband yesterday, it's difficult being a surgeon. There's no toom for error, as in most jobs. you're dealing with people's lives. They are not infallible, we have to accept that. But the rare times mistakes are made, they should own up and pay compensation or make it right. The person damaged is owed that. It's good you've been able to accept it, which can't have been easy, but was helped by some responsibility being accepted by them.
I hope meeting his friends cheers up your husband.
Whiff you are right about the compensation culture. Definitely partly to blame for no one owning up to things these days. When we tripped on a paving we put a plaster on our knee.
