It's not clear to me what you mean by 'pull ups'. Is it some sort of exercise?
As Curtaintwitcher said, belly fat is normal as we age. I wondered if you meant something like a hernia?

When you consider how much the stomach area is stretched during pregnancy, it's amazing that it all returns to normal after the birth. I think stomach bulge is all part of the ageing process, where keeping the muscle tone is much more difficult.
I find Callanetics help the whole midriff/thigh/buttock area.

I get this too, when pulling myself up in the bath. I too had four big babies including twins and can only think that our muscles have been shot years after the deliveries of our babies!

Yes I do, after having a large second baby soon after the first baby.

Asked for a referral to a Specialist to see if a repair could be attempted but was told No, it was a very complex operation and the best thing I could do was make sure I did not allow myself to become overweight!

I haven't had this but replying to get it on the active list then hopefully you will get replies.

I try to keep active by walking 5000+ steps a day and doing exercises with either Pilates, stretching and gentle gym to keep supple and feel good. I did have 3 large babies, the last one 33 years ago but followed the physiotherapist exercises with no problems after.
However, for the last 4 years I have noticed my stomach bulging when doing pull ups. (Dr Google = Diastasis Recti?).
I have asked my GP several times, she always says that, this is normal for a person of my age, 73, but both a physio (treating another problem) and the Pilates teacher don’t agree.
Did/Does anyone else ‘suffer’ with this and have they been cured and can it lead to other injuries?
