Warnings were ignored and called 'Project Fear'

And tragically, the warnings are turning to reality. Staff and drugs shortages- and everything so much more expensive, due to very low Sterling values. As winter approaches, access to antibiotics seriously threatened.

Brexit just keeps on giving. As the man outside Parliament says on his placard, 'Brexit: not going well is it?'

How he has the nerve to face the British people is beyond me. In his shoes I would be hiding in a cave. Probably a very expensive one, if his shed is anything to go by, but somewhere away from the accusing eyes of the people who have suffered for his hubris.

He misjudged - catastrophically. Through ineptness and a certain amount of naivety (IMO) - he didn't realise how much he was disliked by a number of people who later admitted that they voted to Leave because of that!!

However - I think he instinctively realised that, having lost the vote - he would not realistically by well-placed to carry out the Brexit negotiations. So I'm not entirely sure he should be condemned for walking away.

What I do blame him for is calling the referendum to silence the Early Retirement Group instead of facing up to them and dealing with those "bastards" (as John Major famously referred to them). That was weak and cowardly.

Some voters equated Austerity under which they were suffering with the EU and believed that voting against Cameron would mean we could spend more money on our country's services. And a red bus told them that was true, too. They did not know, believe or realise that Austerity was an ideological choice. They probably will now, though.

The fact that Sunak couldn't find anyone to fill the role of FS and had to manipulate to get Cameron in the role, says a lot about the calibre of individuals he had to choose from.

Matt Hancock has endorsed the move, and thinks it's a "brilliant decision".

Oh dear.

Doubt anyone with only half a brain sets any store by his opinion.

Drug shortages are world wide

I think Hancock values his own opinion. Highly.

And probably will cry a little if we don't share it with him.

You're right. It's global. And for multiple reasons.

But the Brexit related border issues have not helped.

Surely we have run out of Brexit threads by now?
Oh no, here we go again.

What are the reasons for the global shortage of medicines?
I thought it was just the UK.

What a sick thing to say.

Yes, it is global- and as said before, shortages elsewhere, will make it much worse for the UK. Low value of Sterling, difficulty of access, and EU working together to access together.

Some of my family require life-saving drugs which are in shortage- we are planning to visit regularly to provide at own cost.
